Buildings:

In addition to buses and books, this levy saves the day with funding for long overdue maintenance and updates on school buildings. In the long run, this saves money, because proactive maintenance is smarter and less costly than emergency repairs.

Let’s pass this levy and let our kids know we want them to learn in safe, secure and comfortable schools, with the following projects:

  • Replace leaky roofs at Carlin Elementary and West Park Elementary.
  • Overdue replacement of rusting pipes at Brown Middle School.
  • New modern boilers for Willyard Elementary and long-overdue repairs at pre-school and West Main.
  • Improved security systems across the school district.

Books

We will adopt the books and technology that have the most up-to-date information and methods. The newest curriculums – especially in math, social studies and science – to include the latest technology. This helps our students compete!

Buses

Our top concerns for transporting students throughout the township and city is safety and reliability. We will purchase two new school buses, repair the existing fleet, and continue our plan to proactively maintain in good condition our fleet. Safe buses that operate well is our top priority.
